Purchasing : Ecologically Preferable Alternatives

There are lots of economically competitive alternatives to endangered forest and virgin wood and paper products. Ask for recycled, reclaimed, salvaged, and FSC certified wood products, and post consumer content recycled paper products. Click on the links below to begin your search.

To calculate the amount of energy, emissions, wood fiber, and waste that you will save by switching to paper with high post-consumer recycled content, see the Paper Calculator at http://www.ofee.gov/recycled/calculat.htm

If you would like your product or company to be considered for inclusion in the listings found here, please send an email to implementation@forestethics.org.
